Advent Calendars are used to count down the days in December leading up to Christmas. Here are two easy and quick ways to make your own Advent calendar:

Make a Paper Chain Advent Calendar:

Create a paper chain with 25 loops, creating each loop with a strip of paper that you can decorate with seasonal pictures. Write numbers from 1 to 25 on each loop. Every day, tear one more chain from the loop until you get to Christmas!

Make a Candy Advent Calendar:

You’ll need a stack of last year’s holiday cards, 25 pieces of wrapped candies, a piece of poster board and glue.

Cut the pictures from the cards. In the center of the board, draw a calendar with a marker and ruler, or print one out using your computer. Decorate the edges with the pictures from the cards. Attach one piece of candy in each of the squares.

Unwrap a piece of candy every day until Christmas!
